Post High School Success

College is rewarding but expensive. We’ll take a bite out of expenses by awarding two $1,000 scholarships based on academic achievement and community service. To be eligible, you must be a local high school senior continuing on to a college or university, and you had to have been a member of the credit union since at least March 1, 2022. Hurry, though. The submission deadline is March 11th.

It’s tax time with Scott again

If you receive any kind of income, the Internal Revenue Service is going to want to know about it.

Fortunately, our friend Scott Miller and his team at Convenient Tax Service have the tools and experience you’ll need to keep as much of that money as possible in your pocket. They’ve been working with our members since 2014 and can prepare your tax returns for you for as little as $129. Need tax assistance?

Give Scott a call at 414.861.7977 or email Scott@weloveyourtaxes.com for an appointment.

Retrieving Your 2021 Tax Documents

If you received $10.00 or more in dividends from an account, a 1099 form will be generated. A 1098 form will be generated if you paid $600 or more in interest on a related mortgage loan. This tax information is generated on an individual account basis, not cumulatively.

If you receive eNotices, your tax forms will be delivered online and they are available now. To access these tax forms, sign in to online banking from the website (not the app) and navigate to the eNotices page.

Just a note that if you are not signed up to receive eNotices, your tax forms were mailed to you in January.

Following a path of kindness and hope

Glacier Hills has always been committed to helping the people in the communities we serve, whether it be through small acts of kindness, non-profit donations or volunteerism.

Our recent efforts included our Holiday Food Drive that collected more than 1,700 food items to help make the holidays happier by reducing the anxiety of going hungry. Our Hartford branch team members also partnered with the Operation Hartford Christmas Project by donating all kinds of gifts that made for a brighter, merrier holiday for 131 area families.

Credit Sense (hosted by SavvyMoney) is a powerful and convenient tool that provides you with instant access to your credit score, credit report and ongoing monitoring through your Glacier Hills online banking or mobile app. And it’s free for our members.

You’ll see your credit score in real time and will receive notifications whenever a new action has hit your report or your score has increased or decreased. Best of all, this interactive platform offers you simple, easy-to-implement tips to improve your score pretty significantly within a very short period of time. Celebrating a Civil Rights Hero

In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, all three of our branches got out of the office and volunteered in various ways.

Our West Bend branch prepared and delivered lunches to home-bound individuals, created Valentine's Day decorations for The Gardens, collected items for the Washington County Humane Society and wrote letters to veterans. Our Hartford branch collected puzzles, crosswords, books and movies for the Waterford Nursing Home. Our Fond du Lac branch visited the Humane Society to help fill dog toys with treats and peanut butter for enrichment play. They also played with adult cats and adorable kittens, of course!

We look forward to many more opportunities to serve this year!

Helping community is our mission.
